true this is far from gen but when looking at what we've had so far this is a quantum leap forward in decor movements!

Have you seen this P.2002 prototype a year ago?

I am more happy there is a new version of the 312 coming out more than anything, and the newest version too, O series. Lots of people was very impressed with the first version of the 312 a few years back and the movement was just a typical 7750 with a "P.9000 Rotor" attached to it. I know I still LOVE mine and wear it a lot.
Now this time it *looks* like a P.9000 movement more-so than it did before. If you put this next to a gen P.9000 you will spot the differences in 1 second, but for me, its more about the watch and not so much the movement. I pre-ordered one when Mehmet posted about it over at RWG.

If your looking for true 1:1 then any model with a P.9000 movement is not for you and you should stick to closed case back Pams.

In my opinion the Panerai inhouse-movements are ugly. Don't know why they use a display caseback.
Just saying.
(edit: please don't kill me for that) ;)

Of course this is the new PAM 312 form Kuvarsit with decorated A7750 like a P.9000
Mine is in its way and I will inform about my thoughts soon.

I think this decorated movement is not a step to the P.9000 clone but it is a step to a more accurate replica. Although you can see"easily" that the movement is inverted.
Anyway nice decoration from KW, better than other attempts we have alredy seen.
We will see

Is it just me, or does the '100% as genuine' crystal lack any AR? The watch itself is beautiful, but the poor crystal AR is my worry.

Well if the 312 O/series from Panerai has no AR then the rep most likely will be without AR!
The gen 312 O/series has single sided AR if not mistaken, so rep will most likely have single sided AR.. was noticing my 111n it seems no AR compared to the 417 but just different " level/quality " of Anti Reflective coating.
