I acquired a Cali 448 Z-Factory Superclone from one of our most T, TD's, and it's been a nightmare from day one. The watch is visually flawless but the P3000 movement (which if we've read-up here at RWI, is not actually a P3000 but a very well-engineered and similar design) has been problematic from the beginning. For me, it started with the gears skipping at winding. You wind, (and it's a hard wind) and wind and you can feel the gears are not gripping the mainspring. Finally, the watch is wound and I get about 3 days. But a few weeks in, I'm winding and I hear a long zip sound, like the main spring completely releasing. I send the watch back, they claim a replacement of the movement but it's the same movement. They simply re-attached the main spring and the watch gears still slip when winding. It's going to happen again. I'm wondering if anyone else has had any P3000 problems. Can other P3000 owners testify that they just wind their watches and life is good? Anyone else have a problem with "gear-slipping" when winding? So far, this nightmare started in December, 3 month turn-around with the TD, and we're back to square one. Contacted the TD and have not heard back. And this is one of our better PAM dealers. Sorry for baring my soul here folks but I'm wondering if I'm the only one with a P3000 problem or if others have experienced the same thing. I have bought many high-end reps (mostly PAMS) but this is the first lemon. All thoughts are welcome.
