"P3000" 6497 engraving QC

Hope I've understood the rules correctly and I'm allowed to post up a QC pic with a specific question?

Just received my QC on the PAM372 I ordered from Toro. Watch looks stunning, just there is some engraving on the movement not straight where it says 'cal P3000' and 'Swiss made' - what do you think, accept or reject? Anyone know if it's a flaw with this one or if 'they're all like that'?

If they all come that way then meh, I'll just live with it. Don't want to be too picky hahah

I know it doesn't look anything like a P3000 anyway but that's just an instant tell its a fake even if you've got no idea what the real movement looks like.

The writing on the clone P.3000 "Swiss Made" is wrong.....
Leaning on the writing : " CAL. P.3000"
The engraving is too deep , but it's the minor flaw.
You must decide if this flaw is important or you can to live with him....
If it were my Panerai would not accept it. I'm sure.

I know the fonts are all wrong or too deep etc but I knew the whole movement was wrong before I ordered it anyway :laugh:

It is a minor flaw but one that seems to scream 'fake' to me. I may ask Toro and if he says they're all like that then I'll quite happily accept it. Just wondered if I was being too picky/they all come that way.

The biggest thing that screams 'fake' is the movement itself. If someone notice the engraving he should also notice the A6497 under the deco plates [emoji6]
But it's your watch mate, if you don't like it, don't take it.

Thats very true and if it weren't for that I'd have been asking for a new one straight off

I knew it looked nothing like a P3000 but misaligned text I think is another thing - I don't think anyone I know even knows what a Panerai is but they will spot the wonky text :laugh:

Anyway I've asked if its a problem with the batch or just this watch, we'll see what he says.

Toro says they're all coming like that at the moment so offered me to swap for a different model. Didn't really want to do that as I want the 372 so I've accepted as it is. Can't wait

I have the same watch also from Toro and I have to say you wear it all day long instead of tossing it around. So just wear and enjoy and don't worry because no one will come to you, wrecks the strap and examines the movement.

Thanks for the comments, I really can't wait for it to be here! Looks so beautiful in the pics and it must look even better in person.

Nah the movement doesn't bother me a lot, if it ever does I'll either get a closed CB or a 'Panerai' decorated 6497 or something.

The strap actually looks fairly OK in the QC pics - it appears to be real leather and a nice colour, might be just what I'm after with a bit of 'distressing' haha
