So Panerai has decided to make in house movements. And many of the
newest watches they're currently putting out are with these in house
movements. What does that mean for us? What does that mean for reps
of these watches?
Panerai has a whole line of pretty damn amazing 44mm autos in mini fiddy
cases that are all clear caseback p.9000 powered. there's no way around
it, if they're gonna be repped, they would either need to put an effort into
the movement, or just decide to not even bother and put out way off attempts.
There was a whole thread from Angus on this topic on the other forum and
many an opinion were expressed. Mine being basically do it right please and
take your time making it happen, or just don't bother. But anyway, wouldn't
it be fantastic if we could get a 288k caliber rep of this:
hopefully this new p.9000 isn't going to be a big stumbling block, I have
faith in you rep gods, I know you can pull this off:
there's so many nice pams with the p.9000 engine, we'd be buying em up
like crazy if they could get it done close to gen.
No pearlage
No cotes de Geneve
We're talking brushed finish, and polished anglage.
they could even just print the rotor and print the cover plate.
I have high hopes here....
