Hello everyone
I have been thinking about buying a Black Bay Bronze for a few days, although I am still not sure whether to decide on XF or ZF, or a different factory. I would like to read opinions from people who have this particular model to know if it is a good purchase. I am especially interested in the issue of bronze aging and how it evolves after a prolonged period of use. Thank you all very much

I can’t remember the difference between XF and ZF. I would consider either.

Mine is terrific, I love the patina.

The grey bezel or the green harrods would be my pick.

Downsides, my wrist is 7” and between the slab sided case and long lug to lug, this watch wears large. It also has wide lug width, 23mm I think, which makes finding straps a pain. Try to find one with straps that you like.

I think that XF might no longer be available.
Miyotas are fine but sometimes have noisy rotors
If you have it narrowed down to these two I ask a trusted dealer which was available.

Pretty sure he’s going to say only ZF

Great watches had a few of them, bronze is very close to gen with the high aluminium content and quite resistant to patina unlike some of the other bronze watches

Gen fabric strap is a must IMO to set it off but most won’t tell the difference anyway

Main difference between the 2 is the movement, ZF has the Asian 2824 movement, where the XF has the Miyota... According to the Who makes the Best Guide, ZF is the choice to go with. I will caveat that i'm unsure when that section was last updated.
