Hi all
Perhaps its common across all TD's, but I wish to issue caution with expectations on delivery times when ordering spare parts for watches (in my experience).
February this year I received a Dues Ex Machina Top time Breitling from Trusty. Communication was good, QC was good, postage and delivery all good.
After a day of wearing, I noticed that the glass had cracked right across the front! Not sure if this was because it was under stress in the case or I had knocked it on something . . . . ah well these things happen, i had accepted QC, it was delivered fine so I thought I will just order a replacement glass at my cost.
This is where it all goes a little south. . . . . It's now been nearly 5 months and there is still no sign of the glass. I have checked each month for updates, but it is still not been dispatched by the supplier. I appreciate COVID has slowed things down and, that parts (for whatever reason) are slower to get hold of than complete timepieces. However it's frustrating that 5 months later there is still no sign of the glass. My concern is they will stop making the watch and the glass will no longer be available
As a side note I also ordered the correct Dues Ex caseback and QC for these came through quick enough, perhaps its parts dependant!?!
I will update here with progress as I am sure the Trusty team are sick of me emailing them to check every month!
