Ordering during Chinese New Year?

Was expressing interest in a watch in another thread and someone shared it might be wise to wait until Chinese New Year is over because order fulfillment grinds to a halt during that time apparently?

So do I just mark my calendar for late February and then shoot a TD an email?

Do I reach out before then to get in line for the desired watch?

Are orders then backed up immediately following CNY?

I'm ready to pull the trigger but don't want the order to get jacked up due to the holiday.

Some of you RWI experts share some wisdom?

I recommend asking about current stock before ordering. Some items can day 10+ days for QC.

I was trying to reproduce the 2 months timespan you mentioned:

CNY period (off-time):	2 weeks (15 days)
Order non-stock reps:	1-3 weeks
Prepare and provide QC:	1-2 weeks
Shipment to destination:	2-4 weeks
Total:	5-11 weeks

This does not take into account that they may build up an order backlog during their time off, which further increases processing times.

Always keep in mind that the factorys need some more time to shut down over CNY, so they are often in CNY holidays/closed about 1 - 2 weeks earlyier, and just stock left on the market that our TDs can buy.

Yeap, ordered some tools and the date changed from email to the other. Expect a delay of a few weeks for certain.

I've even messaged HONT directly and he said to wait until "hes back" whatever that means lol

Dhgate is predominantly associated with low class reps. There are no good ones in my opinion. Go with the TDs on here

some TDs still do business during the Chinese holiday season, message a bunch on WhatsApp and see which one replies. I reckon you’ll be able to order quickly, but expect slower shipping.

It’s not all bad though, since some TDs offer discounts to celebrate the new year as others have mentioned here.

Don’t let the holiday season stop you from ordering, you’ll get your order sooner or later!

DHGate will not have top end reps. But it does not mean that everything is crap. You just need to adjust your expectations.

Out of the box, they are not well finished. But they can make a good modding base

Man. today has been a horrible day.
The Ali case was ready bad, and the crystal snapped when I was aligning the bezel.
