Order PAM111 noob v4 - with which strap?

hey guys,

I'm just before orderring a PAM111 noob v4.
The TDs have it with four diefferent leather straps and one rubber strap at same price (eg intime).

I have read that the leather straps often are rubbish. So should I take the rubber strap and upgrade later to a good leather strap although I would prefer leather?

Or are the noob straps quite okay?

Has anybody several noob straps and can compare?

My advice is either go with the rubber or the asso leather strap and then go online and order a few extra nice straps

Just check the strap maker section of the forum there are plenty of good quality makers there

^^^This. The other calf leather straps are rubbish. But the Asso isn't half bad and the rubber is good value comparable to the gen.

And the buckel is the same on the rubber strap and on the leather straps?
So the bucke of the rubber strap will fit on the aftermarket leather straps?

In general yes the buckle can be swapped between both as long as straps are same width

Make sure your aftermarket straps are 24/22 in width as the watch has 24mm lugs but the buckle that comes with the watch is 22mm. If you want straight 24/24 straps, you have to buy an aftermarket buckle (they come up pretty frequently in M2M).

You buy the PAM, think of buying an extra strap, then get another PAM for the new strap, get another strap for the new PAM, it's a vicious cycle. :lol:

I bought mine with Asso and Rubber as I liked em both and I think it was only 10 or 20 dollars extra with both straps.

I love the Asso but that Panerai rubber is a beautiful strap as well.

Sorry to jump in on the post but would you mind saying which TD that was from? Its just I'm also just trying to buy my first rep and looks like I'm heading down the same slippery slope as the OP because I'm also after the Pam111 V4 Noob

I really like the look of the Asso straps, i guess its the distressed leather thing which i like. Unfortunately none of the forum TD's seem to be listing them with the Asso's as in stock anymore so was just going to take a black rubber strap and try and find something else in distressed leather.

Yeah as said above just contact any of them and tell them you want both straps.

It is worth noting that there is a brown and also a tan asso so decide which you like first.
