Recently I decided that after hearing a lot of good things and having already placed orders with a couple TD's, I would attempt an order with Andrew at Trusty Time. I know he is not a TD on this site, but he is on some others so I figured the risk wasn't too extreme as it may be with some other sites.
From the start, Andrew is extremely responsive. I emailed him a question and within about 20 minutes had a response from him. Throughout the entire process, I never had him take more than maybe 5-6 hours to respond to any email.
The original item I ordered (the extremely popular Rolex 114300) was out of stock, so I decided to switch my order. Andrew was extremely helpful during this and at no time was I pressured to pick a specific watch. After some time I decided to go with a Tudor Heritage Black Bay Shield Blue. (http://www.ttw-138.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=228&products_id=17287) 36 hours later I had my first QC pics. In this set one of the indices was a bit more crooked than I found acceptable, so I rejected. 48 hours later I had another set of QC pics. This time there must have been confusion at the factory because the dial on the watch was for the older Black Bay model. I rejected and explained why, Andrew was understanding and said he would ensure they got the correct one. 72 hours later I received another set of QC pics. These ones were perfectly acceptable and I agreed. I accepted the QC pics Friday pacific time here in California and the watch was at my door Tuesday morning via DHL.
I found the experience with Andrew to be fantastic and I will definitely order from him again. I completely understand this was at my own risk, as I would have no help from the mods if I ran into any issues. However, I also feel that it is worth complimenting and informing others of what I found to be a fantastic dealer experience. Just remember if choosing to order from Andrew, it is at your own risk, as once again, he is not a TD here.
I'm not the best photographer and forgot to get the bezel in direct sunlight to show off the blue, but here are the pics...
