I'm looking into purchasing my first Pam rep and wanted some feedback on the quality of the actual rep I'm looking to buy. Can anyone tell me how this looks compared to Ruby's or even Davidsen's versions?

It looks just like my Ruby's 111H, assuming this one has A/R coated Saphire Crystal - can't really tell from the pic. It's definitely nothing like Davidsen's.

thanks...since you already have Ruby's 111, just curious if you'd buy it again or spend a little more and get Daviden's?

case and face of the watch look pretty much identical to the one I have. I picked mine up from a non forum dealer, and am 95% pleased. only complaint is a tiny fault on the bezel, but i am getting used to that. mine keeps pretty accurate time and is great to wear. in saying that though, i have been considering upgrading to one of davidsons watches, but the money is the factor. he has goooooooooooooooooooood stuff, but almost $150 more that what i paid. pm me if you want the link to where I got mine.

You should check out Davidsen's new 111 and 177 - best of his offering to date. I am no expert in this, but I think there are good and bad aspects with every watch. To me, Davidesen's dial is too stretched out... the numeral markers are too close to the edge of the dial. But then again, his is also superlumed with no recessed pin problem... to have these done to your standard rep, it'll cost you a lot more than Davidsen's offered price (and a lot of hassel). It's your call.

I don't know if it's just me, but from the second picture:

-The cut-outs for the top of the sandwich dial (numbers and hour markers) look to be very poor quality- cuts are messy, not sharp.

-The hands also look poorly finished.

-the seconds sub-dial markers look like total crap.

Hope this helps!

Disregard my post  I think my perceptions were based on a poorly resolved image...not the actual watch

Very strange: Alternately clicking on the imageshack links to your pics will produce a good picture and a crappy picture

This is the standard PAM 111H with swanneck, needle regulator...
Pretty much the same as most of the chinese dealers...I can tell this is one of trevor's offerings...
He has good prices but really uninformed.
The problem with trevor is that he doesn't have a clue about watches and I've told him a million
times to get somewhat informed about his products.
Since he doesn't really know watches he does virtually NO QC on his products.
I've received watches with so many flaws...chrono watches that don't reset properly...one of my pams came DOA...
Another time I paid for an ETA mvmt watch and instead I got sent an asian copy ETA watch...thus paid way too
much for it...and in my correspondence with him he wanted me to show him how you tell these things...
So if you want someone to check your watch over...go with Ruby...at least she has a basic knowledge of watches, english is better, and does QC..

I don't like the squished L SWISS MADE L with the '6'
Surprisingly though...davidsen's updated dial has this as well...

If you don't care about the pin recession and no dial lume pick this one up...
To get those done will be another $200 so if you're thinking about it I'd just pick
up a davidsen 111. That way if he keeps improving his dial it will be an easy swap in the
future...
