I have an opportunity to buy genuine Panerai movement do you think $1,000 - $1200 it too much to spend on this movement?

Beano:

Fior that money why not just save another $1k and get a used base model off Paneristi? If I had $2000 -2500 that's what i'd do.

i was also interested in this movement... it is a fair offer. I saw also a PAM 2893-2 movement from same seller for $1.000-$1.200. A 2893-2 in same quality is available for $250 (without panerai brand). Why should i get so much money for genuine PAM 2893-2, if a similar movement is available for 1/5 of price. But a 7750 with power reserve is a good deal, because this movement is more expensive and not available for public.

problem is: you can´t find a rep dial and rep hands to fit this 7750 movement.

what will you do with this movement? You can used it as spare parts for gneuine PAM 090.

But you need it???

We can use it for a paperweight

I wonder what most people think is the uppermost limit they will stretch for a rep?? Is it okay to spend $2K to rep a watch that might sell for $3K? I dunno......doesn't seem to make much sense to me? But hell, I'm new here.
