Opinion on ULTIMATE 164, mod suggestions

This is an ultimate 164 that I have had for awhile now. I was able to trade a Swiss 7753 movement for a Swiss 7750 movement. I thought it was going to be as simple as removing the chrono parts and installing it. But it turned in to a much larger project.
The hand sizes were not the same, so parts had to be sourced to make the Swiss 7750 work.
I just got it back today and I am VERY PLEASED with it. BUT, I am by no means a Panerai expert and would like opinions and further mod suggestions. I want to make it as good as possible, as it is a watch I truly like.

Anyway, here are the pics... Please let me know what is good, what is bad, what should be changed, etc.

CG looks good. Have you had it relumed that will change it dramatically if its not been? I mean depending on how much you want to drop you could always get a lelo DW and a chief cyclops...But I think it looks great.

Only way it would look better is if it were on my wrists

What do you think of the date wheel? This is the upgraded date wheel that is much thicker than the original rep datewheels.
Is the Lello still better than this one?
Im not too concerned with cost on this one, as I have sold off most everything else and really like this one.
I had the rotor bearing assembly pressed out and installed in the Panerai signed replica rotor also.
With all the talk of Swiss V Asian movements, I will say this. The Swiss movements are REALLY pretty!
Im going to get a gen deployant buckle and strap for when I want to dress it up.
I definitely agree on the Lume, this one should not be too expensive to have done. I think that only the 12,6 and dots are lumed on the gen (as is with this one).

Well if money is no object per say, why not start throwing gen parts on it, like a crown, CG, hands, caseback, dial, etc...

I have never seen a lello. I have seen a gen 164....few months back. I recall the date font being sharper and a brighter white....Which may be the case for yours. It's really hard to tell in a photo though....lighting and all that stuff.

She's too tan..all cooked up in the sun. She will be all wrinkly and dried up in a few years.

The girl in the pic is Adrianne Curry... Her and I grew up in the same town (her dad still lives there and so does mine). She is 11 years younger than I am, but I did know 2 people that were at her wedding.
She is a basket case, but she has nice... um... bewbies.
I dont think she would be available for sale with the 164.

164 is one of my fav. Will like to mod one if I have the dough.

It has one of the best "A" text font on the dial IMO.

The round hour markers size on yours are just right. Usually it is smaller on most 164 rep.

What I can see is that the crown sits too near to the side of the case. I think T48 is good but some members are unable to lock the lever as the lever stem hardly touch the crown depth. I will leave it unless you can find a palp's crown.

The date font looks ok but could have been better if it is bolder and whiter.

I will flush the cannon pin per gen as the protruding cannon pin scream fake.

Last mod will be removing the outter AR and keep the inner AR as the over powering blue hue is a sign of a rep pam.

Able to trade? Damn, I would have bought a new Swiss 7750 and given it to you for that 7753

First thing I would do is the lume, one of the most noticeable things too (you'll love it). Don't think you'll get a cheaper price though for dots and 12 6 - all the relumers seem to just charge a standard flat rate, with increases for GMT and chrono. Not sure why, but they don't even give you a discount if you just send the dial and hands.

Next would be the CP fix.

As for the rest, it really depends on how "anal" you are about accuracy. The date wheel font on the gen is definitely thicker than yours, but yours is better than most. The CG is looks alright, but its hard to tell without a side and underside pic. Same goes for the crown.
