Oops... bought wrong sized strap for 036

I picked up a PAM036 from Ruby and bought a shark skin strap from BOB. Alas, the strap is 24x24 and the 036 tapers to 22mm. So now I either go back to the supplied strap, which isn't bad but the shark strap's dark brown goes better with the choc. 036 dial, or buy a new buckle. I went on-line last night and could not find a supplier of titanium buckles. Lots of brushed and polished steel and PVD, but no titanium.

Does anyone know where I can the titanium buckle? Or have one to sell?

BTW, the shark strap is very stiff. Any way to "loosen it up?"

email Davidsen; he has logo Ti buckles. I think TWA also has Ti buckles as well.

The strap will get softer after you wear the crap out of them

Bob carries 24/22 Shark skin,,, hmm... actually I didn't know that he had 24/24.

Yeah, DSN is your best bet. His 24mm TI buckle is quite nice - with logo engraved and everything.
It won't be cheap after WU fees though.

I own Bob's shark skin and mine is quite soft now. I had for about 6-7 months and it really softened up nicely and the suede part (on the back) nicely patina-ed too. If you want to speed up this process, I think you can try Beeswax or Mink oil - although, I haven't personally tried these products on exotic leather straps.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've PMed ThumbWA and he's looking into it.

I bought some Kiwi leather conditioner and have applied it to my leather and exotic straps. It's fairly light.

I bought the water snake 24x22 strap from Bob and put it on my PAM 113G. Very nice strap and look.

I'd just say keep an eye on the Parts for sale forum... they surface pretty rarely.

I've managed to scrounge two from that section (between all three major forums over 1 years time) and I'm hanging on to my Ti buckles for all they're worth.

have a 20mm, 22mm (stocker from my 177) and a 24mm one....
TWP or Davidsen is probably your best bet as others have said unless you've built a relationship with other dealers (ie many orders) to the point that they will order parts for you special.... ask around with the dealers you've dealt several times with, you may be suprised.

Strap is from BOB. You can buy the buckle as a brush ss. It matches quite well with Titanium. I had it and it is very good. BOB is good.

Great, that's a good option if I can't get titanium.
What I'll probably do is get a different strap from Bob and save the shark for a new purchase.
That way, I HAVE to buy a new watch. Wouldn't want to waste a strap.
