On the fence for a 388 or 505

Well the only RAD I have in my collection is a H-292K on OEM JV. Love it, no issues despite issues with this model. (Case splitting, cracks etc.) But the fact of an auto RAD has caught me. I like both watches for obvious reasons but I'm a little more drawn to the 505, despite my owing a similar looking RAD. My main concern is how durable the DLC coating on the 505 is. I haven't seen any complaints about it not being any less durable than SS, or any shiny SS showing through a scratched DLC coating...yet. Other than strap bars which make these challenging anyway, how goes it owners of these?

I love shiny SS, so I got the 388

No worries about the DLC coating of PAM 505
It is harder than any SS and will last many many years
Just bear in mind it is relatively "fragile" and you could broke the coating with a great hit
But it will be the same with the SS, you will get a dent

Buy it with confidence


Anyway PAM 388 is awesome too, and it is different from your 292
