This watch was great until I sold it to a friend(one of the very times I've sold to someone I know) and of course the bezel came loose on him THE first night he has it. I gave him all the forewarnings, told him not to play with the bezel all the time etc etc and I believe he listened, just bad luck on our part.

So trying to fix it. All other bezels that I see have an actual designated channel cut for the hytrel ring. This OMF does not, its just a lip that is just above the underside of the bezel. Then above the small lip is the open cavity of the space underneath the bezel insert.

My el cheapo hytrel rings from WSO do not work as is. I want to try the tape and fishing line method. But i question the fact that no matter what I do, having that lip and no channel, if one pushes down enough on the bezel the hytrel ring will just slide up into the large cavity underneath the bezel insert, no?

Any ideas batman? @KJ2020
In the meantime I'll try taping in some .50-.60mm trilene. Ill start small.

Using fishline and anchoring it with double-sided tape so it can't lift up has worked as a permanent solution on multiple Noob Pepsi samples.

The double-sided tape then anchors the insert back in place.

I read this thread at first and I see now that it different than the other methods you have spoken about for different factories. Now it makes complete sense. You are awesome.

Note that the double-sided tape has to cover the fishline but not touch the retaining ring lip. Otherwise it will impede bezel rotation.

Wanted to report back that the trilene big game .61mm 40lb fishing line works perfectly in my OMF bezel assembly. Perfect amount of tension. Amazing how secure the bezel is with just these hytrel rings and in my case a plastic line. Feels like it won't come off even without the tape, so I definitely see how the addition of the tape makes this a permanent fix that is far better than the original gasket they use from the factory!

Many many thanks for your wonderful guide(s). This worked really well. It feels very solid, even before the tape was added. There's a very slight movement in the bezel when nudging it north to south and east to west, but may have been that way beforehand.
