Hi guys,
Looking for a bit of help with my ST 19 chrono. I have made many mods to the watch and made many mistakes along the way. It’s starting to get costly which is why I’ve decided to ask for help before causing expensive damage. So far I have ground down the bezel to make it more gen like, fitted a 2nd genuine ultraman insert after snapping the first (had to sand it down to fit) polished the crown and fitted a B&R strap. I’m the better part of £600 in at this stage. My problem is after finally getting the watch the way I want it the chrono hand has started slipping, what I mean by this is when you reset it and it sits at 12 if I shake my hand enough the chrono will move a second before 12 and can more a second after 12. If I run the chrono and pause it though, giving the watch a shake the chrono hand is stuck solid. Anyone know how to fix this? I think this may have happened after i lightly tapped the insert in with a watch smith hammer. I did use a press aswell but it was such a tight fit. Here’s some pics of my progress:
