One watch that I have had my sights on for a while now. Was wondering if anyone has ever come across a "super-clone" version of the Speedmaster Racing. I have seen plenty of mid-tier examples from the likes of HSF but I'd love to find a high-end best quality one if they exist.

I’m very interested in this too. From what I’ve read, the HRF is the best and it is not that great. I love the 40mm with rubber strap. Is HRF the best available?

I’ve got the HRF. I don’t believe there are many options available. Watch is thick but worn above the wrist bone, it wears quite well. Bracelet could be better as it is a bit sharp. The positive end links can also make it wear a bit awkward.

Having said all that, it runs nicely, the xtal is nice and it certainly scratches that itch. It is also a more accurate rep than any speedmaster professional rep out there. I’m keeping mine for the above reasons.

Hope this helps.

That looks fantastic and thank you for the reply. I’ve been searching RWI for speedy info, but most of it is very old. An actual owners hot-take is much appreciated.

No worries. Here are a few more pics. I should add that I never use the chronograph function.

Thanks for the pics Yeah, it was the HRF one I meant, sorry spelling in the original post. Have you noticed any obvious flaws compared to the gen, from a looks point of view? Movement is not going to be that close but I could live with that. Also, is the chronograph fully automatic? I've seen some cheaper chronograph reps use batteries, especially on the Breitling ones.

I'll never get the fascination behind speedmaster reps.

The watch doesn't look anything like the gen. Like... nothing at all.

I don't think anyone is too happy with whats out there, but hoping for a better offering. It's definitely pretty weird that speedmaster reps suck, never really knew why that was. Its a relatively popular watch. I own one in gen and its beautiful, wouldn't mind owning a few rep variations if there was anything decent to get.

I agree that most speedmaster reps are poor but I think you are being a bit harsh with this particular rep.

Bearing in mind that this is not a rep of the speedmaster professional but rather the 40mm speedmaster racing.

Gen on the left, my rep on the right.

As I have said on the previous post, I think this is a much better rep than other speedmaster reps which have glaring flaws such as the size and location of the subdials.

This watch is fully automatic and seems to run well. I don't want to chance my arm by using the chronograph function though.

I'd be interested to see what flaws other members can see based on the photos above. I'm not that observant and I have to say, nothing really jumps out at me. The gen is thick to begin with and this is slightly thicker.

I agree.

If only someone would make a speedmaster professional rep. There would certainly be a heap of demand.

I am still wondering why nobody has ever really gotten any of the auto versions right. I mean omega has leveraged stock movements for years. It kind of begs the question as to why we are still waiting on a solid build. I really wonder if it is due to volume of interest.

That looks pretty accurate. Have never seen that model before
