Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Short Review

Hello,
I recently bought this one because I wanted to test it before buying a gen one. Here I want to make a short review as I am not intending to keep it.
So the watch feels very solid and overall very good quality. The main problem which is visible on the images too is that the sub dials are with more spacing between them. The reason for this is the mechanism used inside which is a variation of the ST1902. This is the popular Chinese chronograph mechanism put in Seagull 1963. This mechanism has only seconds and minutes. For that reason the third sundial which is supposed to be for the chronograph hours is actually matching the current hour and is auto-set with the main hour hand.
So it is far from a good replica as it has this obvious differences but is definitely a good watch.

The factory is OMF. The total cost for me with shipping, customs and everything was around 580 EUR

Whenever I see a "good" Speedmaster rep and look at the decent bracelet, the not-so-bad caseback, the surprisingly acceptable case, crown and pushers and the dome-shaped crystal that could be much worse, I can't help but feel this that this is the equivalent of the Mona Lisa with her eyes having been painted by Da Vinci's 3 year old nephew, instead of the master himself, when I see the sub dials apart by what feels like an entire world.

Currently wearing my gen moonwatch for instant side by side comparison makes it even worse. So frustrating that the reppers don't have a fitting movement available. Urrghhh! Lol
