Omega Speedmaster Crystal

Hi All!

I have an early model Omega Speedmaster with Hesalite/Mineral Crystal that tends to scratch pretty easily. I would like to mod it to a sapphire crystal but don't know where to start.

Can you guys recommend a RWI approved/verified watchmaker that would be able to do this? Is this mod even feasible? I know certain Speedmasters have Sapphire so it's not entirely uncommon.

That is a beautiful watch..is that the manual wind, full size model? I have a full size 7750 automatic version that has a domed mineral glass crystal....simply gorgeous!!

How about a tube of polywatch within reach? That will get your scratches out.
