I posted on the Omega forum, but maybe this is the better place for Gen vs Rep questions?

This "Limited Ed Jerry Lopez GMT" looks great in person, the blemishes in the photos are either smudges or not hardly visible in person

The only Rep I found to compare is here:
https://puretime.io/seamaster-gmt-ss...t-eta2836.html

The only other mention of this particular model I've found is some outfit that is long closed down that apparently had the best SMP GMT reps. (but no photos)
This is a 20yo watch design, and I think there were making reps of it up until 2008 (?)

Below, the case sides are fully brushed, unlike the rep above seems brushed only halfway down.
Case shape around the crown guards looks correct.
The GMT hand is fully red, vs the Rep which is not red at the tip
The Second hand is red tipped, vs Rep without any red
The bracelet, underneath/bottom of end links match the top with the two thin "outer/center" links, the rep does not.
The crystal on this one does not seem to have any AR at all.
Lume is Seiko-like.
I also noticed that the SEL slits for the spring bar, some SMPs I see are angled, some are straight like the Lopez pics above.
Is this something that Omega changed at some point, or an indication of an aftermarket part?

Most importantly I suppose, the movement functions as it should with quick set hour hand (aka 'True GMT').
The bezel is very sure, 120 click, bi-directional.

I don't have any big concerns, just wanted to make sure and pass it by the community, to be sure.

Maybe someone will spot an aftermarket bracelet, bezel, or info on tips to confirm the crystal is Gen.

BTW it's in beautiful shape, most any blemishes seen in the photos are either smudges or 99.9% not visible to naked eye.

This was purchased from what seems to be a reputable pre-owned dealer in Japan, I don't really have concerns there, but who knows if this is some fanken or something that got passed him.
I can't imagine someone taking a Gen movement, finding this Limited Ed. Jerry Lopez caseback, and putting into Rep case/bracelet (?)

But maybe legit, the bezel insert and/or bracelet got beat up and is replaced with aftermarket Rep(??)

Just really overall almost new looking...looks like it was worn a week and put into a box for a couple decades.
There's no wobble or mis-shape to the case, seems it hasn't been truly buffed before....How do the Rep Omega SMPs in general look in the casework and finishing? How close to perfect as Gen? Cause this think looks amazing.

Thanks in advance RWI forum!
Let's harness the Light Side of the Rep world, and confirm a Gen here!! :)
