I am just trying to learn more about gen vs. rep and from what I understand the "raised" markers that this particular watch has makes it a fake....

I am all ears and willing to learn

No its real. The raised markers like that are correct on the GMT. Have a look at the pearl first. Its rarely good on the non-chrono SMP reps.
