Hi guys, I’m new to this forum, do let me know if I posted this in the wrong place.

I have just gotten an Omega Seamaster 300m VSF from a dealer. I’ve checked online and noticed that for the genuine models, you turn the crown towards you to change the date however for mine, I would turn the crown against me to change the date. Is this normal for a VSF factory Omega ? Thanks !

Pretty sure that’s normal for reps
I just swapped my planet ocean to a eta2892 to correct this. My gen Seamaster is as you described, turn toward/counterclockwise to change date.

I think I read that the Tudor BB58 is also like this. Have been meaning to find out.

Yes, such date change is normal for rep 8800 movements and indeed it is different from gen 8800 movements

Can I ask what trusted dealer you went through to get the VSF version?
