Omega Seamaster 300 VSF / JVS / ORF

Just saw this posted by a dealer updating the current situation with the SM300 which I think is very helpful for anyone looking to buy one:

For those who cannot understand, in a nut shell:

- VSF and JVS are of similar (same parts factory) quality and make, except the movement balance screw where JVF has it and VSF don't.
- VSF are not providing any after sale services, meaning no warranty or replacement parts if needed.
- JVS are providing after sale services
- ORF's stock are having many issues, including sending out older version, mixed parts version, poor QC, and now even using an inferior "Wuhan 2824" movement which he is seeing many returns.
- 3KF will be producing SM300 in the future.
- This dealer is recommending going for VSF (if you don need any after sale) or JVS (similar quality to VSF with after sale available), and to avoid ORF.

Curious if your movement is winding on a single direction or bidirectional? He mentioned ORF is winding unidirectional, but not sure referring to the new movement or all the while.

Yep, looks like it’s winding unidirectional. Hope this isn’t a time bomb

Can anyone confirm or deny this regarding JVS ?

My previous experience with VFS SM300 was quite bad - very poor crown and tube quality leading to stripping multiple times.
