I have managed to source some gen NOS parts for this model.... yet I dont have one !!

First time I have started a project arse about face !!

I have done some research into the variations and makers versions....

However I can only find the dirt cheap version in stock anywhere... the one with no plate markings and heavy blue AR


I know there were a few versions...

The original 2006 version with crystal instaed of the mineral that they all have now and then the ones with the Aqua Terra movement that Reg used to get and then the others with slight variations usually in the movement..with the markings to the CDG plates..

Do any of you guys know of any that might be available or in stock anywhere? Especially the better versions?

Any pointers would be appreciated... Thanks in advance

Sounds interesting, what you are doing. What genuine parts have you scored?

You will have no luck in finding the "old" XXL with the dealers. I was searching for a long time until I bought one a few months back.

Just keep bumping that WTB ad. That is what I did.

I have the dial, crystal, crown...all NOS and an ETA 6498-2 with CDG plates..

I am trying to find a way of stickering or engraving the plate..

That way I can use an Aqua terra and the cheapie RM XXL...
