Wow, I thought it was a joke when Carbon74 said he was going to make a 2914 thread, but it wasn't...😆
I have some good news, I met with dial craftsmen in our country and asked them directly, and they might be able to create a top-quality dial in cooperation with me. (The price is expected to be around 300 dollars..not sure)
It will be a bit complicated and difficult process, but it should be fun. If anyone's interested, please let me know.

Bi Vintage has a decent dial for a "reasonable" price.
I still have a few things in my backlog, so I am waiting for after CNY to order and get serious
I would be interested, but I will need to see examples first. Does the dial maker need a Vector file? I am willing to get something going if he does.

if memory serves its the same guy He was in Ontario
I think it is the same guy! He messaged me and said his name is Macs though and sells rep parts too. He mentioned that he sells the railmaster case too.

Thanks!

My plan is to simply reuse and age the SM broad arrow hands.

This is what I am going for

listing here with very nice ref pics for the build

You can see that the crown is not gen, so I can get away with a Seamaster crown

Usually, experts draw the blueprints themselves, but if you're worried about minor details being off, I can ask them to use the design you've made.
And recently, I commissioned a recreation of an old Seiko dial. I'll post it once it's completed.

Ah, the dial makers I have dealt with usually wanted a vector file. So that is a change of pace for me! The Seiko dial example will be enough for me

in other news. I tested jb weld on fitting a smaller tube into a larger hole on a mid case. seems like I may have had success. dont know how durable it will be over time or if its water tight , but the crown does thread on and it seems straight and centered.

lol

just time.
I had a few builds to get out of the way and concentrate.
It's a NH35 with a ghost date.

the plan is clear. I need to take the thing apart and measure, before ordering the parts.
It's just that I need to finish two more watches (plus the 5513 I am listing today)

don't worry, I know it's love :love::ROFLMAO:

I have two Monswatches that I promised people to do. It was supposed to be a quick job but ...
I got a nightmare of a case, crystal fell and snapped etc...and instead of just throwing the thing away, I entirely redid the finish and rebuild the whole thing...including manually reshaping the moonswatch rep acrylic crystal to fit the metal case 😅

Then I have a vintage constellation piepan to do
