Omega PO XL Rubber strap on new PO?

Does the old Planet Ocean XL Rubber strap like on this picture: http://www.ofrei.com/images/ome98000145.jpg
looks okay on the new planet ocean models?

Not sure if it'll fit well. The end is thinner than the 8500 straps, so it might not sit tight against the case and leave a gap. I've never seen a 8500 PO with that strap though so I can't be sure.
