Omega 'Planet Ocean' Movements...

Noob question... looking at the Omega 'Planet Ocean Pro' models... several have different movements:
'Japanese MIYOTA-8215'... 'Asian 2836'... 'Asian 2824 clone 25J'...
Obviously, prices on these models vary w/ movement... Which is the way to go... pro's/con's of each...
which is the desireable movement?
Thanks

As a new member, you need some reading to do. You will find the answers to your questions amongst various threads in the omega section.
For a single answer, ill say the 'noob factory with 2836' is the best one yet.
To understand the differences and pros and cons between the 2836 and miyota 8215, youll need to read around a little bit.
The difference is not just with the movements, they are made by different factories.

Before answering your question, most of the people will look at your post count. And since you are new everyone will ask you to read around. You will find everything you need to know. Noone shall spoonfeed you here. Only new genuine questions that have not been asked previously are usually answered.

Appreciate it... can't believe how much there is to learn about watches/reps...
As you noticed, I'm new to the Forum and 'reps'... so far its been a great learning-experience (slowly) and getting 'lost' in the Forum's info...
I'll begin 'hunting-around' for the info on the movements... Thanks.

You cant go wrong with the noob CrPO. Its is a good watch to start with. It was my first rep and it was the first for many others i know here too.
Welcome to the forum. Youll be hooked for the next few days.
Also be sure to check out the LMPO. Due to the closed caseback, it is more acurate to the gen as the movement wont be a giveaway. It was voted the best rep of 2013. It was out of production last year but i read on a thread that Noob made a new batch. Get it while you can.

The Miyota 8215 which is made by v6f factory suffers from a stuttering seconds hand. And it is a non hackable movement.

Thanks Watchdog... Getting hooked already!
Have had a gen Rolex-Sub for several years... have always loved watches, looked at 'reps' but was always scared-off by the potential 'problems.'
Just setup an order w/ Ryan at InTime (TD) for a Tudor Heritage Ranger (waiting to finalize after their holiday)...
Always wanted an Omega... so my sights are now on a 'Planet Ocean Pro'... just trying to pick the right 42mm model (no rush)...
Alot of 'learning' to do from the Forum.
Thanks again.

I've had 2 miyota 8215 movement watches, one that stuttered around the 10 seconds and one that moved consistently.

It's a known issue with the movement but I think it's more luck if yours does it or not.

I refuse to buy any watch with a Miyota 8215 movement. I've bought a couple of reps with DG2813 over the years, and found them to be unreliable and inaccurate, and the 8215 is worse.
The 2824 and 2836 clone movements have been replaced with a stuttering POS movement, that doesn't hack, is lower quality, and less expensive, than the DG2813, and we're being charged the same, or more for it, than the reps we were buying with ETA clones.
If the factories can get a quartz movement for less than the 8215, I wouldn't be surprised to see that as the next "upgrade" in the rep watch trade...very accurate, no winding, it doesn't get any better than quartz, and it will only cost you $100 more than what you're (over)paying now.

The watch I'm looking at has... Asian 2824-2 25J movement... I understand that to be 'decent'?
