Sorry if this has been discussed before and please forgive me if this post sounds stupid as I am still relatively new to this game... anyways....

I have always been interested in why the factories arent making the Omega Moonwatch with a movement which replicates the true functions of the subdials (the subdial at 6 mimicking the hour hand). I was browsing the forum today and noticed that the Rolex Daytona vintage reps use a manual movement which would maybe solve this issue?

Has anyone ever tried using this movement for the Omega? Would it work?

yes this is the watch I am talking about, notice the subdial at 6 mimicks the hour hand. would the movement in the vintage daytona solve this problem or would the subdial spacing be totally wrong?

The Subdial spacing will always be an issue. They haven't 'repped' a manual-wind chronograph movement with a 12-hour counter yet. You're better off hunting down a Lemania 1873 movement on eBay, buying a Speedmaster case, dial and hands from http://www.ofrei.com and building one for yourself.
