Omega date wheel

Im new to this game and am enjoying it immensely. I've bought an omega but and I think the date wheel should be black and want to try and fit the correct one. Is this a job I could have a go at? Any advice would be appreciated.

You can replace the dw but I am not sure you can do that on your own unless you have some basic tools and some experience.
You can have a go but be aware the risk to mess up the movement, hands, dial is significant if it's our first "try".

It is indeed a good looking watch but considering we are not talking about a high end rep...are you sure it is worth it?

Probably not worth it financially but I love a challenge and see it as an opportunity to learn new skills. The watch only cost me £60 so good to learn on.

Did you ever figure this out? I have the same one with the white wheel and I have taken apart and replaced the wheels on reps.
