I suppose if you do some really good machining on a spacer you could bring the stem down a touch to center it in the tube. But the datewheel will be lower in the dial by that much. Probably not even a discernible difference tbh. Didn't Pugs fit a 2892 into his rep?

I would rather see you buy a 1120 or 2892 for the price difference.
