OK, I just bought this watch from its second owner. Apperantly, It has had no wrist time and is in NEW condition.

I was reading through the post where it was raffled off here in September and I noticed that it says there were only 5 made.

What makes this one different from the other swiss versions that Andrew sells? Is it the "G" series movement? What the hell is the "G" series movement anyway? Any info would help.

I think Andrew was saying he only had 5 made with the sapphire crystal.

See your sig? That's an H series. The G series is the one with PANERAI written all over it.

Was this something that was new at the time, because he advertises sapphire for this watch?

Thanks, Pug. I didn't know the designations.

Sure he doesn't offer synthetic sapphire? Synthetic Sapphire is real Sapphire apart from with Josh and Andrew where it means Mineral Glass.

Pug, I sent you a PM.

Thanks for the info guys. I had plans to install a Davidsen crystal, but it looks like I won't need it.

The G series is not a sandwich dial and that is the major difference.

Except for the fact we're talking Fiddy (PAM127) here.
Fiddy comes with sandwich dial only, and the E/F/G Series ETA 6497 movement also known as OP IX.

cheers,
