Oh, oh. Spaghetti-Oh. I think I'm falling for the PAM 249...

It's just so minimalist, and traditional. And though the Cali dial is a heifer at 47mm, it doesn't look overpoweringly big.

Appreciate any feedback about Davidsen or anyone else's PAM 249, or even the brown-dial PAM 262. I know Anubis and BBB both have it. :)

This baby caught my attention once. Beautiful choice. However, when I saw the thickness in proportion to the 47mm case in DSN (as well as the gen at hxxp://www.clubpanerai.com/index.asp?notizia=1707&codice=50), I changed my mind. I thik 47mm is ok, but the thickness makes it feel more like a clock than a watch to me. (Maybe it's just me.)

But if you really like it, I think DSN has the best to offer. Another (cheaper) alternative will be Silix's hxxp://www.silix-prime.com/product.asp?id=1694.

Personally, I very much prefer (if I have to get a vintage 47mm with plex-glass crystal) the 2533 (offered by DSN http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12042). In terms of minimalism, nothing can beat this.

Gosh, thanks so much for your helpful links, Seraphe. That one had caught my eye too, but perhaps I'm not QUITE at the vintage stage yet (I will be. I seem to be following all the stages of a PAM-addict, quite nicely. I'll be into modding soon).

When I was getting my 232, I was torn between it and the 249. This was a year ago, but, it had "califorinia" printed on the dial, and so I opted for the former. It is a very cool watch and one of my favorites pams. Go ahead and get one, I'm sure you will love it.

Thanks for your reply, too, Hambone. :)

It's interesting you mention the 232, as I just posted this on my exact thread over at RWG. Both watches with the same 47mm, but an odd visual effect of seeming smaller!

As I said, I still prefer the Black Seal 183, but one day, I am almost sure I will buy the 183 and 112 gen. Why have duplicates in reps? ;)

Re: Ahhh, the Cali Dial....mmm, mmm, good!

Savage thank you!

It seems you and I have remarkably similar tastes, as you mention the 183/210/249 in your posts. Those are my exact PAM faves. :)

Well, I was mentioning those for the cases only. I'm really not a fan of the 183 as I can't stand the "Black Seal" text on the dial. The 210 is nice, although I don't own one.

In the end I really am not sure I could pull off the 47mm models, either the 249 or the 232. But, I'm happy with what I got and the Rad itch has been scratched at least for now. I think PVD might be my next foray!

Anyway, happy hunting.
