Hi All,

I had my Radiomir BlackSeal on my wrist, luckily under my sleeve and I felt it come apart. After a taking a look at it I found that one of the strap bars detached from the watch case and the screw was still in the case:shocked:

Not sure what to do or how to fix it permanently. I read a bit about Loctite, but where and how is it used for a problem like this??

Please help and Thanks in advance!

you should try to reseat the lug before gluing anything...

1. unscrew the screw..
2. seat the lug back into the hole.. make sure your placement is correct so the screw will lock the lug
3. screw back the screw.

Have you ever tighten the lug screws since you bought the watch?
Mine came with all 4 screws loose. Although the screws still held the lug wires in place, it's disaster waiting to happen

I had the same problem. The issue is that the watch is made up of two separate parts: a metal part with pvd coating and a ceramic outer case. The metal piece is the one that holds the threads of the screws that secure the lugs. (Are u following?). The big problem is that the lug is inserted thru the ceramic part and the screw thru the metal piece. So... If the two cases are not ultra strongly glued together. Eventually the lug will start to wiggle and fall apart because the screw will not push evenly. Apparently our beloved factories have not used the correct glue on this one.
I can bet that if you look at your sapphire from the sides, it. Is not perfectly level. This is because the crystal sits on the metal part...(the things one learns on the forums...) and it is not glued properly to the ceramic outer case.
Same thing happened to me.
One fix is to superglue the lug.
Another is to make it thicker (I used the plastic part that comes with the paper clips)
The other is to dismantle the watch and reglue it with the proper compound.

Cheers.

I always use loctite. Excessively actually.

Also the tube that connects the two wire lugs together usually would hold the assembly together without falling apart in my experience.

Also got in the habit of checking the screws everytime I wear the watch.
Not tighten it but see if any have unscrewed a bit.
