I just recently got a 111j and posted about it. Was not really into Pams, but decided to try out the 111j. At first i liked it, but didnt quite get it. Was a nice change of pace to my usual watch, the omega PO. Now, after only about 1 week, I cant take it off my wrist! It has supplanted my gen PO!

I am on the lookout however for a more accurate PAM, since the uneven lume on the 111j bothers me a bit, and the crystal from what i read on the forums, is not as good as the 005k.

I see the 318L is available, and it would seem to be similar to 005k...

Question is, is it worth getting the 318L? Is the quality on par with the 005k? Is there a noticeable difference in quality when comparing the 111j to 318L? Any help is appreciated!

318L and 005K are EXACTLY the same watch. Just differetn caseback with Brooklyn Bridge on 318L and Firenze on 005K.

The movemente is better on the 111J, it's a high beat movement...

So you could get the 318/005 and change the movement from the 111J to the 318/005 so you'll get a 318/005 superrep with high beat movement... and a less quality 111J rep.
