Official Prime Straps logo debut

I'd like to thank RWI and all the members for giving Prime Straps a home and supporting my craft!! I've been designing a website lately and the logo is finalized!! I would like to share it with RWI first. You are all the first to see this, let me know what you think....

To be honest. I dont like it. Looks dull and old style. Doest really represent your work.

I like it. Clean and simple which is important. 2 questions:

1. Did you try the logo with the strap as the P? So strap as the P and then rImestraps after it. I'm not sure if it would be as easy to read though.
Or
2. Prime is brown and bold. Can you have your designers add stitching to the letters to make them look like leather straps?

I'd say for a logo you would want to avoid intricate detail. that huge 'P' strap graphic is better used as a mascot than logo.

Good logos are always simple and have very strong silhouette. For instance Coca cola. FEDEX. EMS.. lol

Important thing is , Your logo should be clearly visible On a billboard and on a leather strap.

Thanks for all the input I guess 'mascot' is more of what I was shooting for here. Having something represent Prime Straps at a glance, be on the web page and such. I've gone through a lot of designs and haven't really felt any were just right until this one. It shouldn't be difficult to simplify it for a brand if I decide to.
