Perhaps someone is interested in several parts, including case, movement, crown and hands:

Am I the only guy who is wondering about the missing 2 o-rings on the "gen" crown?
Could it be possible that this Gen has been "bastardized" with aftermarket parts?

Well,he´s certainly a correct guy. It is not and was never my intention to doubt that. 8)
However, I allways thought that the gen crowns have 3 o-rings, one under the crown itself and 2 on iths stem. So of course I think that if that PAM is a gen it might have been repaired with aftermarket parts? :?
I had no doubt bout the movement which is 100% gen. The case is so excellent quality in detail (like crown tube) that it just has to be gen, as with the dial.
Please correct me if I am wrong with this technical detail. I am allways ready and willing to learn.

The gen automatic Panerai's did have 3 o-rings on earlier models... you have seen these on ebay and rwg (i own one)... this is a handwound model(111i) and therefore has a very different crown... otherwise, i would have bought 3 more crowns for my handwounds...

It is curious to me that Flav pieced out the Panerai... but to each his own...

It was an experiment to see if the parts separately would fetch a higher total than selling the complete watch.

I believe Flav stated that it was about a wash, and if you factored in the extra PayPal fees and shipping costs, he actually made a little less than if he'd sold it as a complete watch.

hmmm.... well, he had the parts (the ones shown in this ad) for a lil south of $3300.... so, he should've sold them as a single watch.... looking at pricing though, someone sold or was trying to sell their 111H for $2350.... so maybe he had a good idea...

I would've so bought the gen crown if i knew it was available... you never see handwound gen crowns....

the funniest part is the gen movement going for $1400..... considering the actual value of a 6497...

But the cost of a SOPROD modified, COSC 6497 is something altogether different.
