hi guys,
is there any variations for OEM Pam Rubber strap for 44mm models ?
i've been offered some OEM Pam Rubber strap but does it come with several variations ?
some sellers sold me the one with bolder OFFICINE and PANERAI letter on the front side of the strap
and letter Panerai Italy on the backside

some other sellers sold me with thinner OFFICINE and PANERAI letter on the front side of the strap
and letter Made in italy and Officine panerai letter on the backside

is there any variations for the rubber strap or some sellers tried to sell me fake one,as i know all the sellers are quite reputable
cheers

I’ve been wondering the same thing recently, but haven’t spent any time researching yet. I certainly can’t tell the difference from look or feel of my 10 year old rep rubber strap and my new gen strap (In regard to printing, texture, suppleness). The giveaway, at least to me, has always been the stiffness of a new rep strap.

Some rubber straps are made for deployant, some for tang buckle. You'll want to ensure you are buying the correct one for your situation. I just bought an oem deployant rubber last week directly from Panerai, and it's "made in austria"

Edit to add: I think there is a bit of variation in printing and country of manufacture based upon deployant or buckle, or other factors (mine is XL). If not buying new from Panerai, I'd advise buy the seller, more than the strap.

Hi,
I have a similar question for a PAM1295 rep. The case is 47mm and the strap 26mm.
I can't find a curved end rubber strap for it. I've seen 24mm models everywhere but not 26mm.
There is a big gap between the straight leather strap I have and the case. I would rather have a rubber strap with no gap.
I've tried to illustrate this on the pics below.
I guess that the shape of the curve and the thickness have to be right. I don't think it's possible to use a swiss knife to cut one to shape...
I hope that someone can point me in the right direction.
Tks.

Curved rubber straps are not common for Pams. You might find one on the aftermarket however. I know only Everest as maker for this kind of straps...

Thanks for the hint. Both are lovely products, but the curved end strap are only for 44mm cases, the RubberB for 47mm cases is straight...
The other issue is that both straps cost about the same than the watch. But yes, a bad strap can ruin the look of a nice watch. I'll keep searching...

Found a first step solution. I ordered a 26mm curved strap from AliExpress. I doesn't look very nice but it sort of fits. The curved end fits the case, but the thickness is wrong, (see picture below). At least there is no more gap between the strap and the case.
Or I need to drill a new hole...no idea how to do this, dremmel or heat ?
The next step would be to find someone who can make a kevlar/nylon strap with the correct curved end and thickness. At a reasonable price. The good news is that considering the low price of the strap, I can butcher one or two to make a prototype.
Unless someone has a better solution ???

I was going to suggest rubber b and Everest but in my opinion if you’re going to spend over $100 for a strap you should get a gen panerai strap. They do make replicas of both on dh gate and Ali express but they are cheap.

I say this all the time. While you might not be able to tell the difference visually from cheap to genuine, there is a huge and enormous difference in the fit and feel and way way a gen wears on wrist that makes it worth the money.

Also some strap makers - some leather strap makers will make leather straps that have that same curved end so it fits snugly against the case like Dangerous 9 and Aaron Bespoke if that’s a look you like and you want leather it’s something to look into. I’ve see. Some pretty epic straps with that curved and fit tend end.

I was lucky my watch fell at home and I didn't dent/damage it. I've could have lost it had the rep strap broken outside. This is the 2nd time this has happened.
Replaced it with a gen eventually and now wear it without the fear of losing or damaging it.
Visually they were the same. The gen however feels softer and a bit more flexible.

Yes, Dangerous9. That's what I need. Thanks for the tip!
