Hi guys,
Found this on eBay, do you think it's OEM or a fake one from China?

Thanks

the finishing and thickness in the first and second photo seem consistent with a gen. Gen has a semi gloss finishing which i haven't seen in rep straps. but then again, could be my limited hands on to only 4 makes from different factories.

my observations however,

in first 2 photos, keeper looks weird - not of crisp rectangle shape at the edges

gen rubber straps are made in austria ( i can check mine when i get home)

strap in 3rd photo is a different strap form the first 2, it has retainer for the keeper. a feature i have only seen in reps

strap in 3rd photo also noticeably thinner

For what it's worth, My rep rubbers had a weird smell that washed away with a few soap baths, I've ordered several eBay vended Panerai rubbers both rep and gen with no difference in telling the other. Gl

I thought the retainer for the keeper was designed for rubber sold on deployment only? more than 30 sold... there's your clue...

Some of the Reps can be very good- I have one that almost a year later smells like vanilla- tough to keep licking it :)

Yes, the retainer for the keeper is a feature on the rubber straps designed for the deployment buckle. +1 on the comment of 30 straps sold. He has over 30 straps from boxed sets? What owner would sell off his boxed set without the OEM strap (and also who would buy it)?

Photo from wristwatchphoto. Didn't know some of the early rubber straps had leather keepers (or the photographer did some "creative" work  ). You learn something new everyday. :D

My 6 year old gen rubber strap supplied with my gen 104 with deployment buckle has the retainers and is slightly shiny
