It would be nice to do a rep vs gen comparison as I don't think many of us here are familiar with that particular model.

I love the Tank but because it’s a Cartier Rep the prices are almost always very high. I never want to pay a tenth or anywhere near that for a rep, even an amazing rep.

Cartier make fine jewelry class watches. They are stunning in person, but for the longest time, they didn’t care about what engine drove the watch.

I own a Cartier roadster Rep. it’s a beauty. I would like another Tank as I used to have one. I guess I’ll wait to see where the prices on this ho over the next few months. I still want a great Santos Rep, but I’ve passed on the ones over $400.

I don't think many any of Cartier owners really care about movements. Their more a high fashion brand.
Also, their watches are so small they cannot get an automatic in their so.. a quartz makes total sense. And of course if they were auto they would be more than the quartz price
So it's all relative really

@repossesed @mysterio sorry for quick reply I’m unsure how to link thread in transport on iPhone but if you search for TW replica you’ll see an earlier thread I started with TW replicas in title where gen vs rep is shown side by side. If somebody wouldn’t mind dropping in that link here it will help others assess the two. Short answer: bang on.

Will comment later on quartz vs automatic. But this is the Michelle Obama First Lady replica size (ladies small). I like the political and other famous ppl linked watches - makes it easy to see them being work in lots of public photos (ie the well timed Vladimir Putin daily Blancpain Aqua Lung).

Don't hesitate to purchase this model if you want to make a gift for your wife, it's a great watch. As a quartz movement, the watch is solid, and my wife worn it everyday.

Were you able to see the attached link? It’s not a perfect side by side. My gen is in Milan and I’m in nyc at the moment. But the link will help you see the accuracy.

I have owned my gen since graduating university and I can’t tell the difference.
