The Federal Government, with the goal of upholding the constitution of This Great Country, in the interest of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, now enacts a committee to preserve gen EL PAM 127 fiddys. This branch of the Federal Government will hereby be officially referred to as the Bureau of EL PAM Fiddy Security.

Under code 762a, all EL PAM 127 or 217 fiddys must be registered with proper and necessary documentation, have a minimum of 8 genuine EL parts installed as specified by section 43b-4 (no more than 2 components can possess mismatched serial numbers), and have the appropriate tax stamp issued. Failure to adhere to the guidelines set in code 762a will result in imprisonment of 10 years, a fine of up to $500,000, or both.

or for example: el coche - the car

But... Fiddy doesn't mean anything in Spanish... At least I don't know any word in spanish that is" fiddy"... And I am from Spain.....

Ok! I'm sorry about that but I was just asking and I was not trying to be sarcastic at all.. And I didn't knew that Fed was slang for Federal Government... Now I know and I realise about the joke. My bad.

My English/American is not so good and even less if you are using sarcasm or if you are being ironic... It's not easy. And that's why I was confused when he said El Fiddy was The Fed... just because as you said , I missed the sarcasm and thought he was saying it seriously.

Anyway, for your info, "LA QUINTA" means "THE FIFTH", just like "The Fifth Avenue" would be "La Quinta Avenida".

On the contrary: we are perfectly reasonable and adult and deeply concerned over this critical issue

.....and for our members for whom English is not your first language, well done for participating in the silliness. Idiom, sarcasm, colloquialisms etc. are sooooo difficult to learn and master when you are from elsewhere--especially without the requisite body-language that goes with typical acts of the above absurdity. A lesson for us all!
