Hi,
I have a PAM 176ti from Davidsen. It started running fast and i took it to local watch repair shop. He said it needs a new spring, it is coiling too fast and not fully extending. Causing it to gain time.
I don't know anything about watch repair. Anyway, he had it 4 months waiting for the part. I finally gave up and got the watch back. I have about $450 in on the watch. What should i do? Repair it? Just swallow and get another watch? Anybody know anyone to do the repair?
I contacted Katt on here and he didn't seem too interested in repairing it. Thoughts???

If you love the watch get it repaired or buy a new movement for it.

Kuvarsit and Toro sell PAM movements with the engraved bridges.

Kuvarsit has his platinum plated 6497 movement for $80....It is EASY to change a movement if you have the right tools. If you don't you shouldn't have to pay a watch smith more than $50 to do it for you. Sou get a new movement installed for the same price as a new mainspring+teardown/rebuild service...roughly speaking.
