I confirmed availability of a Sea-Dweller 126660 'D-Blue' and was told it was in stock. I paid the same day and asked how long it would take for QC. Now being told 2 - 3 weeks for QC. I know things are slow and this watch isn't that common but that's why I specifically asked for stock ahead of time.

I understand everything that's going on and have realistic expectations but 2 - 3 weeks for an in stock watch doesn't seem in stock to me.

Any help @puretime ?

Thanks

Hi, have dealt with puretiime , too and can Tell you they do everything they can. But they depend on the
factories. In stock does't mean that TD's have them in hand. It means that factories told them they can
Deliver. I'm shure you will receive your watch, but sometimes it goes fast and sonetimes you really nead
Patience.

Yeah I didn't expect in stock to mean they had it in hand but would have thought having it in a week wasn't unreasonable. Even in another thread here they said 3-4 days which is what I expected.

As mentioned above, unfortunately 'in stock' doesn't always mean that the TD has it in hand or at the factory. Most of the time it means that parts are available for assembly.

If this isn't a common watch, most likely one of the parts might need sourcing from elsewhere, i.e. the dial, as all the other parts are quite common.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the situation in China at the moment is not peachy due to further lockdowns etc. so parts suppliers might be affected.

Just to be clear this isn't my first rodeo. I have ordered 10+ watches from multiple TDs in the last 6 months. Some I have received QC in less than 24 hours, others I am still waiting 6+ weeks. The difference is that was expected and understood upfront.

What I have not run into is confirming something is "In Stock" and then being told 2 - 3 weeks. Again I understand they don't have them in hand, I understand the situation in China with covid (I deal with this everyday in my day job) and I am not expecting miracles. But we order from TDs for a reason so I don't think it's unreasonable to request some clarification on an in stock item that doesn't appear to be in stock now.

Sorry for the delay, when we checked with maker they told us they can deliver immediately, but when we really ordered they always delayed. We will urge the maker and hurry up.

Can you PM your order number to me? I can check with QC team.
