Hey everyone, I've been lurking this entire website for a while and trying to learn things on my own, learned quite a bit about the different factories and such. However after settling on a Tudor, I haven't been able to find something to guide me through the buying decisions for it.

A few questions:
I hear mention of different versions of reps, but not which factory is behind it? Is there only one for Tudor so far? What factory is it? Are there Noob or H-factory versions?

What are the newest versions of each factory model, if there are multiple factories making them?

Which is considered the best so far, or pros and cons of each?

I poked around the Rolex section more than this one and it seemed like Noobfactory was pretty safe, but I don't see mentions of factories at all in this sub.

I'm (I think) settled on a Tudor Black Bay, preferably blue, by the way.

Thanks!

Hi
The world of reps is very confusing to me and I have only been looking at them for a few weeks.
I believe the there I only a Version one of the Black Bay Blue and three versions of the Black Bay Red.
im not sure which factory makes them but the Trusted Dealers available here sell both.
i have a version 2 red and its a very good rep.
i would try and snag one in the sale dept and try it for a while.
you can always flip it here too as there is always a buyer out there.

Thank you both. So is that link the V2? Is there no V3 as some sites advertised?

Red Version 2 was mismatched - V1 was not and V3 is not. Get it, fantastic und unproblematic watch, loving mine after well over a year like on the first day.
this is my V1

The V3 is the best choice. Ryan, right now, makes a very good offer for this watch, probably the best in the market http://www.intime.co/tudor/1443-her...est-edition-v2-version-on-bracelet-a2824.html

Yeah, I though that one looked way better than the other v3... I need to save up a little more for that one, but I've noticed that's better to save a bit more and get a decent rep than to just buy by impulse and maybe get disappointed :) But Many many thanks guys, you were really helpful here !

I'm obsessed with the tantalizing Tudor, but can't decide between a Black Bay v2 asian2824 or vintage sub, no date w/asian2836. There's a $100+ between the two.. of course the Black Bay is more durable & worth it; the sub has that classic eye-catchin look! Dang-nabbit. Any help for the noobie?

Hey Fellas, do you know why some of these Tudors are >20meters (BB red v3) and the BB zF blue is >50meters?

If it´s the $298 version both are exactly the same construction. Backcase + o´ring, screw-in-crown + o´ring. Standard procedure is:
1. open caseback, release stem
2. silicon-grease (for instance Nyogel 760) on crown-o-ring and inside tube, re-insert stem
3. silicon-grease the backcase o-ring and position it well
4. close backcase, tighten backcase well

There is no more to it, if it leaks around the crystal there are fixes for it too (Uv-glue) but that´s not normal. There is no waterproof standard from factory-reps, but diving watches generally behave quite well and the Blackbay has no Helium-escape valve or chrono-pushers, so fewer places to leak. And it´s fine to swim gently.

One nice hot shower with lots of soap to wash off the grease and nice hot steam to penetrate the watch and all the waterproofing is gone:)
