Noobish question about the date switch

Hi everybody,
please excuse my noobish question, but I was wondering why in some cases the date on our beloved asian movements switch exactly at twelve and in most cases - at least my 7753s or 7750s - need one and a half to two hours to switch completely....is that something that can easily be modded, or is it like it is...?

7750's Asian copies and Gens function that way. (Starts to move from 10:30PM) Cannot be modded.
