'Noobie' Watch modifications

Good afternoon gentlemen,

I have been reading about the modifications that most members have had done to their watches. I am totally new to this and would like to know what can be modified on my PAM 222, and also, who does the modifying, AND, if there is anyone in Europe or the UK that modifies watches.
For example - how do you 'regulate' a movement ?

I know that this is probably very basic to all you experienced watch modders, but I am totally clueless and if you could excuse my naivity, your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hey there, the best thing to get started is to read, read and read. Slowly you'll find that all the answers to your questions are already here, in a myriad of useful threads. If you have to ask "what mods should I do to my watch", my answer would be "none", because if you don't know what's needed than you don't need it. Do you know what I mean? I only mod something when it starts bugging me, not because the doctor prescribed it. Also, my advice would be to find a watchmaker in your country that works on reps and build a good relationship with him/her. Usually the small independents might do. Just turn up and ask them, or give them a call (plenty of numbers in your friendly yellow pages, I'd imagine). Welcome to modding, and best of luck! :)

It depends on the basis of your watch. Cheaper ones gives a lot possibilities to mod something.
For example the CrownGuard Pin or the CrownGuard itself, the Canon Pin in the center of the hands or the lume of the digits on the dial and many more.
You have to read here in the forum and you will learn many things how to mod your panerei.

Thank you fellas, I thought you may say that, looks like I'm going to find this hobby more addictive now, lol.
Could you just answer one question please ?

What is a movement regulator ??

Thanks for your help.

Right guys, just one more question (columbo stylie).

Thanks

Easy if you are comfortable taking apart watches, and have a crystal press - not so easy otherwise. Also not that easy to find a separate crystal with cyclops for switching.
