Noob PAM104 Something is loose inside!

Hi everyone, one of my first posts.

I bought the latest PAM104 from Noob factory, and have been incredibly happy with it for a few months now until today!

I have been wearing it as normal, no problems all day... then i changed the date as it was a day behind due to me not wearing it for 48 hours. I don't know if this is when it happened, but now something is loose. It feels like the weight has come off inside the watch, as the familiar noise from the case when moving it has gone, and now something is rattling around inside the case back. I don't have a case opener so can't have a look. (unless someone can advise me on how to open it without one?)

Regardless of this, oddly the watch is still working! I can wind it, and turn the date as well as adjust the hands, but obviously it is no longer automatic... I plan to take it to a watchmaker locally to repair it but i wondered if anyone has had this issue or similar with this movement or watch?

I have always thought the weight inside was particularly loud but i put this down to it being a heavy weight in a chromo movement (allowing for the seconds at 9 on the PAM104 face) but perhaps it has been broken all along...

any advise or experience would be appreciated...

It's most likely the rotor that's loose. I'm not familiar with panerai movements but for AP you need to open the caseback, remove the middle screw, put the rotor back in the middle then attach the screw on top. I dont know if that's the case with panerai but some expert will comment soon i guess.

This is only if the panerai is automatic of course, which PAM104 is.

And the watch is still working because it dont rely on the automatic rotor movement to work, you can still wind it up manually and it will still work as intended.

Thanks! I don't have a case opening tool, but guess I'll have to buy one, (unless there is some trick to opening them without one!!??) if it's anything other than the rotor I'll take it to a repairer.

Ball up some masking tape into a 2-3 inch tight ball... use the ball and put pressure on the case back, and the case back, counter clockwise. the tape should get a good grip and loosen the CB to unscrew it. then do what donnydread said above, if its the rotor find the screw, set the rotor back on the hub and tighten down with screw with a small flat head screw driver.

I've tried tape, rubber gloves, car detailing clay, thumbs, can't get the back off! Bought a tool online but have to wait for Saturday now before I can have another go... Nightmare... I'm thinking 'lefty loosey' but have tried clockwise and anti clockwise, just can't get it off...! Any more tips from anyone. Thanks for all the help so far!!

You can find a case tool for PAM's for $10 at aliexpress. So it's not really worth to risk something.
