Which is best quality wise? I don't care about the ''close to gen'' factor but just purely quality and longevity.

As for my second question, a subject which during my time here I never really looked in to, is it possible to get these waterproofed?

Thank you very much gentlemen.

Hello!

I think this is the case when you can choose the design that you like best.

Structurally, they are identical.

In terms of overall quality - noob has a proven track record, however his V11 was not at all satisfactory at one time, HWF in turn does not have such production experience, but I have not heard any complaints yet.

When it comes to overall precision and finish, NOOB would be the preferred choice. The HWF has noticeably wider sandwich cutouts and a rougher-crafted movement.

In theory, anyone can be made waterproof, but there is always a chance to get a watch with a visually undetectable gelmetric defect that will not allow it. Titanium is harder to work with, and in theory a steel watch, especially one from a more experienced manufacturer, has a better chance of success. From a very long term perspective, too, the bettarini steel model is a much easier chance to get any spare parts.

In general, if you are not so concerned about proximity to gen, but about performance and reliability, then I would choose PAM111, however, all the advantages are very relative, and I'm sure most would answer: it's almost the same, take the ones you like more .

0n the taste and look side, it's also up to you to decide if you prefere the shiny mirror-polished steel of the 111 over the graphite-like brushed stealthy look of the 177.

I personnaly go to the 177 when I want to wear the sandwich dial model, above the more "blingy" 111. It looks more rugged and still elegant to me, also Titanium feels better on my wrist.

You can get both to wear to decide which one you like, or keep both and switch so all your tastes are happy ;)

I agree with both above.
Choose the one you prefer style wise, and in my opinion the 111 in the flesh looks more blingy than in photos. The 177 is my go to, sold the 111.
Also, for a long while the 177 was out of stock, less op up for sale than a 111 if you change your mind later.

I was disappointed to find out Noob factory is closed now that I had finally decided on a 005.

You can find 005s from times to times on M2M, but to me it's a different style of Panerai : no more sandwich dial.

It is simple really…you must get both! Although I will say I’ve never had more compliments from strangers on any of my watches (Gen too) as I have had on my 177
