This is my first rep, a Breit Superocean on the Silix 19.99 special. Of course I wanted to use my new Pandawill tools, so I tore it open! Ha! You know you love noobtards!! [smilie=confused2.gif] Anyway, so I searched this forum and really couldn't identify it. Just wanna know what i'm working with. Here comes the 25 cent question. Is it automatic so I have to wind it up? It came from Jay running, and its still running. Thanks in advance for your help. Don't mind that MONSTER scratch, it gives character! A first lesson in casebacks should have been in order I guess

It seems to be a Chinese automatic movement, with Faux chronograph, my guess it's that you can change the date/day with the pushers.

I dont know the maker of this.
It's not DG and it's not Miyota ... maybe Liaocheng but really.. it doesnt even look that good.
There are so many companies out there producing these movements for just a couple dollars..

I found out what it was. D4M was close. the pushers do not change the day/date. The stem changes the day/date. the 2:00 pusher stops/starts the chrono and the 4:00 resets it. The movement lost 2 seconds in 48 hours and I have not wound it up at all cause I can't get anyone to tell me If i have to or how to. What's SCARY is trying to get some info over here without somebody being a [smilie=tool.gif]. I am gonna buy some of these movements and sell 'em as upaytoomuchchacheng.

HAHA!! Sorry, that was fun. Don't be messin' with the noobs. We are sensitive. This is, and will always be, the best rep forum. Thanks for the info guys, but in the end, i just did my homework like all you guys did when you first started.

i call something scary, when i would rather wear a quartz watch.

this is my ....MY and ONLY MY opinion and experience alone.

i would never buy a watch with such a movement. this movement just ........scary.

I have seen these referred to as "Lexus" movements, it's fundamentally a modified Seiko movement with the chronograph complication or other subdial complication or skeletonization added. They are common in budget brands and "as seen on tv" brands. One advantage they have over their Seiko cousins is that they usually hack and handwind!
I would put them a big step above the usual china miyota copies and russian copies that we usually see in low grade reps...

ok, i might be wrong.

anyway, i would not touch and spend any money for a watch with this movement.

again, my personal experience and opinion.

in my begintimes with reps....i only had those mvmnts....none of them did me well. trashcan.

rather buy a QUARTZ Breitling.
