Well, managed to FUBAR my Noob BPFF date wheel - changes date at 7 instead of 12 and clicks and jams on the 10th when manually flipping the date. Luckily I was able to find an incredible old school watchsmith right off the 5 fwy nearby in Laguna Hills, CA who is fixing it for me for the "exorbitant" price of just $50!!! That includes servicing and maybe waterproofing too as I asked him to do that as well!
Anyways the purpose of this post is to educate what he told me when he opened it up for repair, which is basically that Noob Factory, in order to make the Asian movement fit in the dimensions of the BPFF case, put in 2 sections for the date wheel so that it would stretch out further to fit the window opening like the gen. Hence the cheaper BPFF model has the date wheel closer to the center. As this is kind of a "McGuyer'ed" solution, it is more prone to breakage and failure. I probably broke it myself by changing the time backwards or changing the date between 730 and 3 but this design flaw didn't help.
Just an anecdotal and interesting post for you fellow Noob BPFF owners.
