A friend gave me this FREE yesterday as she was packing to move, because she knows I’m into watches. Today I take a closer look and see it’s a 2846 movement. I also noticed the ETA marking, So is my assumption correct or is it a fake? Also how should I protect it until I can use it for a build? Should I leave it in the case as is, or separate the movement? I recently came across a Tudor 94010 Mil-Sub and made that my next piece I get. Though it is a non-date is the use of this movement possible? Sorry for the Dumb questions I appreciate y’all taking time to inform me. I find myself getting more into this hobby and loving it

What are the lug engravings? I'm guessing it's a Tudor day date that someone dropped a refinished day date dial on. It might be worth it to try and restore the original dial and bring it back to what it was if I'm correct.

I could really care less about the case/dial they are scrap as far as I’m concerned, I care about the movement. From what I’ve gathered the first Tudor Snowflake Submariners models 7016/0 and 7021/0, used ETA 2483 and EFA 2484 movements, respectively. Meanwhile, the second duo, models 9401/0 and 9411/0, used ETA 2776 and ETA 2784 movements.

Check the case. It's it's a genuine Tudor there is still a nominal value for someone wanting to build a franken.

this case the movement at question is completely unmarked with the Day-Date. I could use this movement in a Tudor Milsub build correct?
